Can't Lose Her.

Ava walked over to the windowed doors and open it, revealing the balcony. The favorite place she would go if she had problems or just to relax and read a book.

Her bedroom had a balcony that faced the backyard, giving the room a spectacular view. Everything was so calm and quite.

She was set a table to the right of lawn chair at there.

She set down at the chair, and opened her laptop. She checked all her accounts, but quickly become bored. She finally decided to open her email, a small grin spreading across her face, and delightfully opened one by one of her emails from someone she loved.

"College isn't so fun so far without you by my side, I miss you so much Ava." He sent at her that email when she had already spent five months in Switzerland.

"I'm at our favorite restaurant right now, when we're in this restaurant we'll never forget to order carrot soup and I can finish two bowls of carrot soup. But somehow the taste of carrot soup is tasteless without you here." He sent this email was two months after the first email.

Actually, Ava had been reading over and over the messages, but she never got bored, even became a routine in her spare time.

Opening another massage; one from his emails. "Ava, it's almost morning but I can't sleep, if you're still here, of course, I'll knock on your bedroom window and you'll rub my back until I fall asleep."

She clicked another message. "Last night, I was walking home from college in the rain. Now I'm sick, I need you Ava."

The two corners of Ava's lips twitching upward, couldn't help her happy feeling.

It's summer, everyone was exactly enjoying the life with party, hangout with friend or someone loved. But, Ava was stuck in her pink room, studying for finals that were due to take place next week. She've been studying for the past four hour. The words that were in the textbook had gone blurry, she took off her spectacles.

She walk to the bed to sleep after brush the teeth and wash her face. After an hour, when she was finally actually getting some sleep, someone knocked on the only window of her room. Without thinking Ava knew who was behind that window, Leon. Yep, he's been Ava's best friend since their was toddler.

Ava walked over to the window and open it, Leon entered her room through the window. Ava shook her head and sighed.

Leon climbed on Ava's bed, "Ava!." Patting the empty spot beside him.

"I can't sleep, so I'm staying with you for the night." He mumbled.

Ava slid in the empty spot beside him.

Leon pulling up a blanket for both of them, "hug me, Ava." He said under his breath.

Ava was hugging Leon like she always was when Leon was an insomniac, she rubbing his back, "I love you Leon." She said without a voice. He would fall directly asleep in Ava's arms.

They walking on the sidewalk to the their favorite cafe after school. Leon threw an arm around Ava's shoulder, pulled her in close. "Today Bella looks so beautiful like an angel." He said, imagining Bella's face.

"Yeah, you're right. She looks beautiful every day," as she kept her eyes on the road, she pushing the eyeglasses up to the bridge of her nose.

"Why didn't you told your love to her?" she stared up at him.

Leon had been crush of Bella since his first year as a freshman, at first sight.

"I'll give her a chocolate, a bouquet of flowers, and tell her that I love her, at our graduation day." Leon said, as giving her sure look.

She cleared her throat, "sounds great." She forced her smile.

Graduation day.

"Hey, Ava, wait up!" a voice called behind her, as she walked out of the school after graduation ceremony.

She turning around, she found Leon jogging up behind her. He came to her in a short breaths, Leon held Ava so tight. "I'm having dinner with Bella tonight," he paused, pulling her away from him. "And I'm gonna say that I love her."

Ava reached out to twirl a piece of his dark hair, then her hand gently tracing on his left cheek. "Good luck, I wish the both of you in a relationship." She gave him a small smile.

"I have to buy a bouquet flowers, chocolate, and new suit. Right?. So c'mon." He held her hand.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I can buy that stuff with you."

Leon frowned, "why?" he urged her to speak.

"I have some business to take care of." She said with unsure.

Leon nodded, "ok, no problem. Bye," he leaving her.

A tears roll down her cheek, "goodbye, Leon." She watched him, still standing as Leon left the school.

She has been ignoring Leon's emails for the past two years. It's been very difficult for her, especially since she decided to move to another country for four years.

After dinnertime, she decided to finally get out of her room and watch some tv in the living room with a bowl of popcorn on her lap.

Someone knocked on the front door.

She jumped from the couch, as Ava run over to the door. She swung it open, she gasped.

And of course, what was inevitable, happened.

The bowl went crashing to the floor, the loud crash ringing in the apartment, glass shatters and popcorns splattered all over the floor.

Leon standing on the doorstep, he looked like a complete mess and tired.

Before Ava could utter a word, a voice interrupted her, "how come you never email me back?."

"Can you explain this?" Leon holding out a blue diary to her. Ava stared down at her diary.

"L-Leon." Her voice came out staggered and breathless.

Leon suddenly lowered his head and kiss her, long, slow, and very deep. Ava's eyes wided, then close her eyes.

Leon press his forehead against Ava's forehead, Ava opened her eyes. His eyes never leaving Ava's eyes, "don't leave me again."

He slipped Ava's black hair behind her ear, "I love you, Ava." He whispered.

Ava got up for her sit, looking around the backyard. Leon came over to her, wrapping his warm arms around her waist from behind, Ava surprised.

"I looked everywhere for you, you're here." He kissed her cheek, Ava closed her eyes.
