Delightful scent of coffee and bread spread all over the room, my left hand mixing cookie dough in a big bowl held by my right arm.
As my gaze fell on the clock right in front of me, it was five minutes after ten. I'd rushed, discarded my apron and hat.
I choose the table at corner room closest to the door, it's our favorite table in this coffe house. Here I am warming my hand on a coffee cup, waiting for her to come through that door.
As I looked out the window, hearing the rain sliding through the window.
The streets were damp, and dropslet of rain fell from the lamppost unto people's head as they joyfully glided through the leaves that had started their seasonal journey.
"Hai", her smoothy voice suddenly greeted me. I stared up at a pair of almon eyes were dull and tired looks.
"Hai", as she sat down at a stool across from me. "Are you ok?,you look horrible", she looked distressed and tired.
She took in a deep breath, releasing it out slowly, she shook her head, "I've just been depriving of sleep and a bit jittery lately."
"Do you need me to get you some coffee?", I asked her. She gave me a short nod, "thank you."
I turned back and nodded at the waitress, the waitress approached the two of us. "Welcome to Café Moon" the waitress stared at her, "Can I help you?" as the waitress eyes back to me.
"I would like one hot Americano coffee for my friend and two cinnamon cake, please."
The waitress nodded, as the waitress jotted down our orders down on a notepad, "Fine, your ordered is coming" as returned back to back of the cafe.
"How was your day?" she asked me.
"Great, as always." I said.
The waitress come back with a tray in one hand, settling down our orders in front of us. "Thank you" I stared and gave a short nod at the waittress.
We've been with each other for years, since middle school to college and have same dream too. We wants to be a lawyer, the both of us spent our years together, reading books in the library for hours.
I studys hard every day and prays every night, I hopes my dream to be come true.
I studied very hard for my test. I barely slept and my circles grew deeper under my eyes. when I arrived on the day for my test, I felt quite confident although deprived of sleep.
But not what I expected, I failed the test. I feel like my world is falling apart, what I've been dreaming of has not come true. I failed.
I vent out all my anger at my favorite things about making different kinds of cakes and making new recipe of coffee, I can forget about my failure.
I was angry with God.
Almost every day I made a variety of cookies and I don't know how to make it so many cakes goes into the the trash.
Once upon a time I decided to sell all my cakes, the location of the cafe in the center of town was perfect for my mission.
I'm so grateful that mine is the most famous cafe in the city.
I realized now.
God knows more about what we need than what we want.
God knew that I should realized my passion.
"What case are you on?", I asked her.
"I'm on the case of an official who's accused of corruption", She said. She took a drink.
I nodded, "Good luck", as taking a drink from my mug.
If all your prayers and efforts are fruitless then believe that God is delaying your prayers and will answer your prayers at the right time.
