Once the door was locked and the lights were off I made my way to my room, I really need to sleep. I was so tired from my day's work, that I would fall directly asleep.
I woke to the sound of my alarm ringing on the nightstand right next my bed.
Checking the time I realized it was seven thirty in the morning.
The hot water loosens my straned muscles, I hurry and wash my hair and body.
I dressed and ready, I made my way out of my apartement. I really need to breakfast right now, so here I am, I sat at one of the booths near the window of cafe. A perky waitress approached my table with a notepad and pen in each hand. "What can I get you this morning?" she smiled, her red lips stretching wide.
"I'll have the Fatty Breakfast Meal and a chocolate and vanilla milkshake."
The waitress ripped the sheet of paper from her notepad, holding it on her hands. "Coming right up." She gave me one last dazzling smile, before disappearing through the doors to the kitchen.
The waitress came back with a tray of food in her palms, she placed a large platter of food in front of me.

Riding the elevator to the 34th floor took for ever. Opening the door to my office, I made my way towards my table. Turning on my computer, and focus with my documents. After an hour, my phone rings. "Yes, mom." I mumbled, reading the caller ID.
"Hello my son, I miss you so much. Did you miss me, son?" the familiar sweet voice filled my ears.
"Of course, I did mom." I whispered.
"Go home, son, please. You haven't been home in almost five years. I want to hug and kiss you." She said softly and hopefully.
"Look, I'd love that, too, but I'm very busy right now. I hope you understand my condition." I said.
"Ok, I'm so sorry if I take up too much of your time. Have a great day, my sunshine." she said and hung up the line.
Five years ago, I went home and found was empty. I looking for my mom around neighborhood, until I found her on the playground.
She told me that she was so lonely that every afternoon she would come to the playground to watch little kids play.
My mom was a single parent since I was three, because my dad died in a car accident.
I know how hard my mother works for our survival. She's my inspiration and sole reason my career where it is today.
I was suddenly distracted by the vibration from my phone against on the table. My eyes scanned over the text message from my mom.
Don't push yourself too hard, son. Take care of yourself and rest when you're tired, I don't need much money. I just need you by my side, my sunshine.
I extremely frustrated, running my hand through my effortlessly tousled hair.

It's been a week since my mom asked me to come home, I went to the office as usual.
Turning on my computer, my phone rings. "Davian Jace speaking, what can I help you with."
"Yes, I am."
"What?" everything around me freezes.
"No." I said under my breath. My hand trembled, unbelieving.
I shook my head, "NO." I screamed.

I made my way to the one and only person who I love and have in this world.
I know my way around these grounds so well, I dont have to see where I am going to know that I'll get there. Stopping in front of my mom sepulture. "Mom." Tears streamed down my face, I hiccuped.
My mother's grave is next to my father's.
"I'm so sorry for ignoring you." My voice trembled.
"MOM." I screamed.
